Welcome. This is a website targeted to help those dealing with the problem of self injury (SI). It is not put together by professionals nor is it intended to educate the public at large. It is a small site targeted at a group of people who more often than not find themselves being misunderstood by their friends and family. This is not a website for those who think it is "cool" nor is it a website for those who think it makes them "tough." It is for those who have a problem with it and want to stop. The material in this site may be depressing or offensive to some individuals. That was not the intent when this page was created. Some of the information here may 'trigger' people to self injure, so please read carefully. Nowhere in these pages does it explain how one self injures, as there are many different ways. Those who self injure know they are doing it- making up some sort of list of methods won't help anyone. I myself recovered from SI in my early 20s. It is not something which happens overnight and it is not something that you can expect someone to spontaniously stop doing. It takes time, it takes patience and it takes motivation from the self-injurer in order to quit. Please use the buttons at the left to navigate through the site. Thank you for visiting.
This site does NOT deal with suicidal tendencies! |
